Ethyl Violet (CAS# ) is a triphenylmethane dye, and has found analytical use with AlzheimerтАЩs patients, of which ethyl violet is able to bind to the AlzheimerтАЩs related b-amyloid peptides and change colour to a fluorescent blue. Dyes and metabolites.
